Hi there,

This thread will be our space for how to get started and introductions! Have a quick read, get settled, and introduce yourself below. 🚀

Take it to heart:

The beauty of this community is that we have a ton of like-minded people in one place who are all willing to share, connect, and give feedback towards a shared objective—fostering the human side of HR. So Heartcore HR is focused on you, the human in HR. In this community, you can find the knowledge, motivation, and inspiration to be an HR professional in the modern world of work. We hope you will gain this and much more from Heartcore HR. Welcome, now show us that heart of gold!

Search before you post:

The search function at the top of the community homepage is a tool to help you discover a helpful content across two platforms: the Community and the Help Center.

Before you post a question, be sure you’ve searched related keywords - you’ll notice that search results will pull up both past community conversations and help articles. To avoid duplicate content and to ensure the community is a streamlined resource for you and your fellow customers, we ask that you search before you post to ensure your question hasn’t been answered before :)

To do list:

We’ve compiled three things for you to do first. This will get you headed in the right direction for a productive community experience.

  1. Add to your profile: help others get a sense of who you are and what you care about

  2. Introduce yourself: do that in the comments below 👇!

  3. Review the community rules: community guidelines and  community vs. support

  4. Get involved: connect and get involved with each other, the community team, and HiBob

Quick Tour

The community is organized in categories and topics that will help you stay organized and focused. Our three main categories are designed to help you connect on a product, professional, and personal level.

  • Welcome and news: Learn how to get the most out of Heartcore HR and tune in for Community and HiBob company news.
  • Bob talk: Platform discussions with your your fellow customers, Bob product news, and HiBob company news.
  • HR inspo: Launching a new performance program and have no idea where to start? Want feedback on a new policy your team is drafting? HR inspo is the place where HR thought leaders come to share, challenge, engage, and discuss - beyond the Bob platform.

Please introduce yourself and feel free to share where you work, live, your position, and how you're connected to HiBob. If you have another fun piece of info to help us get to know you - we'd LOVE to hear. 🤗

We (the community team) are happy to kick us off:

Hi all! I’m so excited to be a member of this community! My name is Nancy and I’m the VP of People at Flawless Recruit. We’re a fully-distributed team of recruiting consultants in the US working with clients to help them build their fast-growing teams. We just implemented Bob in January of this year and have been really happy so far. I feel like I’m still discovering new features and how they can help our team and I’m hoping to learn from other community members how to make the most of it all. I love talking about employee experience, L&D, performance management and any number of other topics.

Rony Seamons

Hi all - I’m Rony and the Chief People Officer at a tech company called AMPLYFI. We provide business and market intelligence to large corporates and organisations through our AI-driven software products. About 80% of our team is based in the UK, but we have team members in Germany, India, Pakistan and the US.

My work covers the full lifecycle, and since joining I’ve also introduced performance management and more structure to our reward and recognition provision. We’ve been through a number of not-so-great HR platforms until we found Bob just over 2 years ago and it’s been superb. I’m a huge fan but still think there so much more we can get from the platform.

I’m hugely passionate about coaching and making that part of our culture. I also want us to be a great employer, not just a great tech company, so I love joining communities like this where you all have so many great ideas and best practice to share.

Sara Cooper

Hi folks!

I’m Sara, the Chief People Officer at Jobber. We’re a high growth software company that provides business management software for small business in the home service industry (think anyone that works in, on or around your home). We are about 500 people right now and have two offices in Canada - our headquarters in Edmonton and another office in Toronto. We are remote first though and have employees in Canada, the US and LatAM.

What I love talking about:

  • Coaching and Development (have built a C&D team here at Jobber with certified coaches and learning specialists)
  • Data / measurement / analytics
  • Talent attraction, retention and employee value propositions
  • So many other things! Anything people related really 😊

Looking forward to getting to know people here!

Thanks for making the connection @emily.arent! @laurenmason - I’ve never heard of the phrase “People Experience as a Product” … I’d love to know more about how you define that.

Hi I’m Sophie,

I’m People Operations Manager at UNiDAYS, based in the UK and managed the implementation of hibob into our company in June 2020. I’m a huge advocate for the system, after using an very archaic system prior to this!

I’m really passionate about employee experience, particularly when it comes to our people processes and rolling out new initiatives. I love talking about systems, automation, onboarding and employee surveys - all of which I’d say are my key skills. That said, I’m interested in all aspects of HR and love exploring new approaches and ways of thinking.

Very happy to be part of this community where I hope to help others wth my experience, as well as learn lots of new things myself!

Sophie

Hi everyone - I’m Emily and I’m a Senior People Partner at EDITED, based in the UK.

We’re about 140 people (and growing) based all over the world, with large teams concentrated in Bulgaria, the UK & the US. We’re a remote first company in the retail tech (SaaS) space.

I’m particularly interested in these topics currently:

  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
  • Employee engagement & wellbeing
  • Hybrid work forces - how to keep people in the office & who work from home engaged & motivated

We moved to Bob in December 2021, so I’d love to connect with people who have successfully automated alllll the HR processes, as this is my current focus.

Excited to be here!

Em

Hi everyone, it’s so great to be part of this community!

I’m Head of People at Ledgy, a Sequoia-backed equity management software company. We help people teams manage equity and share ownership, giving employees more transparency and giving companies the tools to scale, particularly when hiring internationally.

We’re currently just over 60 team members spread across a couple countries and lately I’m very much focused into all things compensation, automation, performance and data. But really, always love to chat about all people topics 👐

Looking forward to many great insights to learn and share!

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m Kiira, Sr. HR Operations Specialist at Rovio, a global mobile-first games company that is best known for the global Angry Birds brand. We’re about 450 people across the Nordics (Finland, Sweden, Denmark) and Canada and we’ve been using Hibob for the past two years. I joined Rovio 2,5 months ago and I’m responsible for the HR tech in our team so I’ll be working a lot with Hibob and anything that is related to it. I’m still exploring all the different features that Hibob has to offer and currently we’re looking especially into Hibob’s payroll hub and whether that could be something we could start using to streamline our payroll process across all our locations (currently it’s a nightmare!).

I’m very excited to be part of the community and to learn how to make the best out of Bob 😊

Cheers,

Kiira

@em_jenks Welcome! We see so many requests for knowledge sharing around HR automation. I’m compiling some feedback on this thread here if you’d like to contribute - curious which questions are top of mind for you at the moment!

Hello :)

I’m Leigh Nichols and I’m Senior Director of People + Org at Aize, a tech scale up targeting solutions for heavy asset industry companies.

I’m based in Oslo, Norway and we also have a location in Aberdeen in the UK. I lead the HRBP’s as we grow and expand.

It’s been a road getting everything in order as we’ve more than doubled in growth, and happy to have Bob as a tool.

I’m interested in coaching teams and leaders, building up people managers, and finding new ways to be business partners in the company. DE+I is next!

Really happy to be apart of such a rich community. I’m originally from California, but happily building a great life in Oslo!

Hey team!

I am the HR Manager for a blockchain company called Ekta.io. We are based out of Bali, Indonesia but our whole team works remotely across the globe! Due to recent rapid growth I was hired to set up all HR practices which was overwhelming to say the least but that is where Bob comes in to save the day!

I am really interested in understanding how to best improve organizational culture with a fully remote team (if anyone works in tech or the crypto space you know first hand how these people love to work themselves into the ground 😅). If anyone has any good tips I would love to hear from you!

Cheers, Alex

Hi Y’all

I also am thrilled to be leading the charge on our learning and development front and using HiBob to tie that in with goal setting.

Once again I am thrilled to be a part of this community and combine our collective knowledge.

Cheers,

Jack
