The difference between a job and a position

Jobs and Positions are related to two different features in Bob:

 

  1. Jobs are for the name of the role and the levels that are associated with it. Jobs are part of your core HR experience.
    For example, there are two Senior HRBPs and three Junior HRBPs.
     
  2. Positions are the open headcount you have.
    Positions are part of the workforce planning (WFP) module. To learn more, see Getting started with Workforce planning [link]
    For example, your HR team has five HRBP positions, and they all have the same job. However, they have different job levels.
