If you need to pay an independent contractor through US Payroll, you’ll first create their profile in Bob Core. Once the profile is complete, the HiBob team will use the information you’ve entered to complete the payroll setup behind the scenes so contractor payments can be issued.
A 1099 contractor is an independent contractor, not a W-2 employee. Because contractors are processed differently than W-2 employees, additional setup is required by the HiBob team before payments can be processed.
