Understanding negative carryovers

If you’re seeing a negative time off balance carry over, this is usually related to how rounding works in Bob.

The Time Off Policy's rounding method affects the balance display only. Behind the scenes, Bob always uses the exact balance value for calculations.

An employee can request the full rounded balance shown in Bob. If the actual (non-rounded) balance is slightly lower, the request may use a bit more time than what truly exists in the calculation layer.
When that happens, Bob carries over a small negative balance into the next cycle. This is expected behavior and ensures calculations remain accurate.
