Employee time off balance for specific date

You are able to see the current balance for my employee according to a specific point in time.

If you’re looking for what the employees "current balance" would be as of a specific date, it currently isn't possible for the system to report on this.

This is because the balance is displayed as the end of the cycle, and the system has no way of recognizing for the balance "as of today."

When you look at the balance for an employee, the information is not supported to display "as of today" because it should reflect what you will have at the end of the cycle.

The best option as a workaround would be to run the "balance summary export" report. You can then export this data and run a formula for example (Carryover days + annual allowance) – days taken so far (or up to a certain date) = remaining balance for holiday year.

Hi Ben, two years later and we’re looking at exactly this issue. E.g. What was Mr x balance of Overtime Compensation Absence Policy on 1.2.2025. Are there any plans of adding such report or is this technically not possible?

Thank you

Lenka

Hey  @Lenka Smith , déjà vu, right? 😅 Two years on and we're still chasing that elusive historical balance report!

No updates from the product side just yet, but I’ve nudged them again — fingers crossed it makes it onto the roadmap. Appreciate you keeping the dream alive 💪 keep the great feedback coming!

Yup, another call for this feature here - this is info that the accountants want, would be amazing if Bob could just run a report without me having to do pesky maths! (And correctly calculate bank holidays for part-timers!)

Can you tell what I’ve been doing with my last few days?

+1 for this feature.  we have to report holiday balances at our financial year end for our audit report.  Our holiday cycle dates are based on an employee’s staff dates so they are all different and painful to manually calculate
