First, you will need to add a custom date type field in your Bob in order to have a date that will work as the anchor date for the task list.

Next, when setting up the task list, select the custom field as the anchor date, then you will need to count the days from the anchor date that you want the task to be triggered.

For example, let's say you created the task and the anchor event is 01/04 the first task will be set to be triggered 30 days after
The second task will be set to be triggered 60 days after
The third task will be set to be triggered 90 days after
and so on…

(You would need to adjust the numbers as some months have less and more than 30 days)

Please note that you will need to update the anchor date once a year in order for the task to trigger correctly for the next year.

Hi,

Thanks for this article, it is really useful, can I ask how you add a custom date type field in your Bob please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Amy Fergus! You can create a new custom field by navigating to Settings> Employee Fields> scroll to the category where it will be listed> +New Field
We also have the steps listed here in the Help Center article!

Hi Fernando,

Is there any updates& Is it possible to make recurrent task without changing date in custom field? Or maybe it will be able to add in list of trigger time not only days but also months?🙏🏻

Hi @Kseniia Letovalseva

No new updates on here just yet..

It’s a solution, but I would rather be able to have the option to choose on a periodic level on the task itself, whether it is on a daily, weekly or monthly level, instead of a custom field on the employee record - a pretty ugly solution I would say. Couldn’t this be developed?
