The date format shown in an email task depends on the recipient and, for external email addresses, the employee the task is requested for.

When a date is included in an email task notification, Bob applies the following logic:

  • Recipient is a Bob user: The date follows the site date format assigned to the recipient.
  • Recipient is an external email address: Because the email address isn't associated with a Bob user or site configuration, the date follows the site date format of the employee the task was requested for.

For example, if a task is requested for an employee assigned to a UK site:

  • A Bob user with a USA site receives the email with the USA date format (MM/DD/YYYY).
  • An external email address receives the date in the UK format (DD/MM/YYYY).

This means recipients of the same task notification can see different date formats depending on whether they're a Bob user or an external email address
