eSign Task Not Triggered in Self-Service Flows

Employees are not able to request eSign requests for themselves, as you can see in the all employees own data permission group. Permissions to request eSign cannot be enabled.
Once a task list is triggered following a self service flow, it means that the eSign requestor is the employee who triggered the flow.
Since employees cannot request for themselves, the eSign task won’t be triggered at all.

We do have a workaround for this as seen here below:

Please add a possibility to change this, so the eSign task can be triggered via self-service flow. It would be great if there will be a selection if eSign templates are allowed on the self-service flow or not (in the flow settings).

We have some flows where it is needed to generate the document, but it is not necessary to have two or more signatures on it. For example, personal calculation of basic exemption (taxes). For managers or other third parties, there is nothing to confirm because this is a 100% personal decision by the employee, but a document for fixation is needed.
At the moment, there is a workaround by triggering this signature manually, but it requires memory to keep it in mind to do this. :)

We also really need this functionality to be enabled as we are allowing employees to opt out of benefits e.g health insurance vía a self service flow. We are notified by the completion of the self service flow and then require a edoc to be completed off the back of this.
We now have to manually look at who’s completed the flow and manually trigger the list which could cause errors from manual actions.

Hi @Kati Evart and @Claire Gillies! I’m so sorry for this missing functionality with the Self Service flow at the moment. I can confirm that a feature request is already open with our Product Team for this and I’m going to add your use cases and companies to the ticket!

Hi @Lindsay Sinenberg, can you add MedPharm to that feature request as well?

Hey @Lindsay Sinenberg - we really need this feature too please!

Do we have an update on when this feature will be available yet please @Lindsay Sinenberg ?

I’d like this feature please?

My team needs to issue relieving letters and employees should be able to request visa letter. Using e-sign will save us so much time!

It is possible to allow employees to request a signature from someone else for a specific form?

I’m looking to create a proof of employment form with fields that will fill with an employee’s information once they request it, and have that get sent to a specific admin to sign.

Is that possible?

@Francesca Bitti Of course! If you’d like to grant the permission to trigger an eSign for another user, you’ll want to create a custom permission group for those employees and turn on the permission below:

@Claire Gillies No update as of now on timeframe unfortunately. But definitely reach out to your CSM who will be able to provide any updates that the product team has moving forward!

@Lindsay Sinenberg do we have an update on whether employees will be able to trigger an eSign themselves soon?

Thanks,

Siobhan

Hi @Siobhan Williams The best step would be to confirm this directly with your CSM. :)
