When building a report that includes variable pay, it’s important to know how those fields are structured in Bob.

Variable pay fields are stored in a table, and each field is grouped by type.

That means if you have multiple types of variable pay active, like bonuses, commissions, or incentives

—you’ll see separate sets of fields for each one.

To find the specific field you’re looking for:

  • Look for the variable pay table in your report

  • Search by the field name, combined with the type

For example, if you want to report on the Amount field for the Bonus type, you’d search for:

Variable PayBonusAmount

This naming logic applies to other field types too, like “Target” or “Payout.” Just combine the type name with the field name, no spaces.
