Split view availability for performance reviews

The split view option is available for Managers whilst both creating the review, and upon completion to review both answers.

However, should the review be their report’s first review, the split view will not be an option to select as there are no previous reviews to compare to.

This can be achieved by following the next steps:

  • From the top left, click on Bob products
  • Select Talent
  • You will find in the left menu the option Performance
  • Select My reviews
  • Click on the tab My team
  • Start the review you want to fill
  • On the top right, click on the 3 dots next to the submission button
  • Select Split view

How great would it be if we have “split view” by default!

Hello,

Related to that topic “However, should the review be their report’s first review, the split view will not be an option to select as there are no previous reviews to compare to” I would like to know what is considered as a first review/what are the condition for a review to be considered?

  • Any review (self, manager, peer)?
  • Status of the cycle (if review was done during another cycle): does it need to have ended? or is it also possible to see it while the cycle (if a 1st review, peer review for instance) hasn’t ended yet?

Besides, it would be great if employees also could split view as well.

Thank you,

@Nina Pourteau Hey there, Sherlock! 🕵️‍♂️

You’ve caught me! 😅 The info in the article is a tad outdated. With the new features, you can now use the split view to easily select from all the reviews related to that participant.

Thanks for keeping us on our toes!

Hello @Pranhita Sharma ,

Thank you for your feedback. Actually it doesn’t work for everyone.

I’m testing it on the sandbox, and one manager sees it all and the other only the self-assessment during the same cycle.

The manager that is able to see all reviews (included peers’) is from the HR team, is it related to that?

Simply, is a manager supposed to be able to access all other reviews for one of his/her team member?

@Nina Pourteau  Yes, a direct manager should be able to see the older reviews under Talent > People’s Reviews section.

To dig into the particular manager’s details I would recommend reaching out to out amazing support team as they can dive deeper into the scenario and investigate further.

@Pranhita Sharma thank you. My question is: when a Manager creates the review, and uses the split view option, can he/she see/choose peer reviews from another cycle (like in the green square of your screenshot)?

Hi @Nina Pourteau

Edited:
You can use the split view and select other Manager reviews from other cycles that match for the employee, to ensure this, please make sure that the Manager has permissions to see reviews of direct and indirect reports

Thank you @Maital Terdiman ! So it means that the only peer reviews available for the split view are the ones from the same cycle?

If so, if we have 2-3 peer reviews cycle during the year they can’t be seen (with the split view) at the moment of the year-end performance review, but can be seen in the review section of the employee’s profile. Right?

 Hi @Nina Pourteau

Apologies for the mishap, and I have edited my previous message..

All submitted reviews, related to the employee, should be visible
Providing the Manager has the below permissions:
