When mapping the 'Manager' Bob field with the the Jira field 'Manager's name', you will notice that it appear as the Manager's email in Jira
This behavior is expected since we always take the manager's email from the employee reference field object in the backend and pass the email to Jira. A reason for that is our primary agreement with Atlassian to support user picker fields where Jira also strongly recommends using them.
Thus, a desired scenario is using user picker fields hence the user name will be shown, if it's not possible as the users don't exist in Jira for some reason, and using text fields is preferred.
In case text field usage is preferred, we would recommend contacting your CSM to submit a feature request so that our Product team will be aware of all relevant clients looking forward to the feature's addition.
