How to change the ATS destination folder without granting employees access

When Bob receives documents from your ATS, they’re stored in the system default Confidential folder, which is already designed to be strictly confidential and visible only to your HR Admins and Managers. This setup ensures that sensitive hiring documents stay protected throughout the onboarding process.

If you try to replace this default destination with a custom confidential folder, Bob requires employees to have **View permissions for that folder ** in order for ATS documents to be routed into it. Because custom folders cannot be made confidential (without granting view access), they can’t replicate the privacy level of the system default folder.

Even if you update the destination folder inside the ATS integration settings, Bob will automatically redirect the documents back to the default Confidential folder if employees do not have the required View permission on the custom folder.

If you still need the files moved into a different restricted folder, the only available workaround is to transfer the documents manually after the new hire’s profile has been created. New hires still won’t see these documents—their accounts remain inactive until onboarding begins.
