How to import lifecycle updates?

Currently, this is not possible. Lifecycle import is only available in the first import of the employee record. To update the lifecycle table, customers would need to manually do it.

The lifecycle details can only be imported with the first people import. If you are rehiring employees, this would need to be handled on an individual level to ensure each profile is updated with the information according to each user. We also have a new Help Center article going over this process that may be helpful!

Hi! Is this information still up-to-date? We are looking into importing a large number of changed start dates, and we especially have issues when it comes to "returning" employees with gaps between their different periods of employment.

Hi! This works for any new rehirings of course but not for the people that were already in Bob before. We have an issue with importing the historical records in as there were some changes that were done before we even launched Hibob. So when we went live with Hibob, the latest start date was reflected with the import but not any periods the person had worked in the company before and the periods they were terminated. It is not enough to just maintain these records in the employment section because you cannot add end dates there. And also in these cases the accumulated tenure is not correct.

hmmm sorry to bring this one back to life - we’re needing to get ‘probation end date’ imported - as currently an entire trigger fails without that date and no import templates contained this field, hence it was never imported. eeek!

Fortunately Probation End Date is one of the few Lifecycle Fields that you can import. If you create an excel document with one of the identifiers, and then another column with the “Probation End Date” as the second column header and use the “Update People” import selection, it will let you confirm it will import the right field:
