If the employer pension amount for parental pay is higher than the amount you entered, this may be because employer NI savings are being added to the contribution.

When an employee is on a salary sacrifice pension scheme and you’ve chosen to transfer 100% of the employer NI savings to the employer pension contribution, Bob adds the NI saving on top of the amount entered.

For example, if you enter £700 as the employer pension contribution, Bob will use £700 as the base amount and then add the employer NI saving according to your settings.

To get the expected pension contribution, enter the usual employer pension amount before the NI saving is added. Bob will then top up the employer pension contribution with the NI saving as usual.
