If you’re trying to change the ethnicity options in Bob’s EEO section and can’t find a way to edit the list, this is expected behavior.
The default EEO ethnicity field in Bob is hard-coded. Its values are built into the system, which is why you won’t see the usual editable list interface that appears for custom fields. Because of this, the predefined ethnicity options can’t be modified, removed, or renamed.
If the default list doesn’t meet your needs, the only way to use different ethnicity values is to create your new custom field.
You can do this from Settings → Employee fields → EEO, then add a new field using a multi-list type and define your own ethnicity options. This gives you full control over the values and lets you to tailor to your requirements!
That said, it’s important to be aware of the limitation that comes with this approach ---> Custom EEO fields are not supported in EEO or DEI dashboards, statistics, or club views. Those analytics pull data only from the default, predefined EEO fields. As a result, any data collected through a custom ethnicity field won’t appear in EEO reporting.
At the moment, there’s no way to connect a custom ethnicity field to the existing EEO dashboards. This is a known and highly requested feature, and the product team is aware of the gap!
