Hi @Paula Fernandes @Maria Valero @Cristina Sanz @Emi Cardinet @Amanda James @Sharon Handy @Marcus Kaas @Izabella Rehak.

I’m Lihie - people analytics product manager here at Bob :)

I appreciate your interest in this feature request!

If convenient, can you elaborate on how you would expect to see this group by nationality considering it’s a field that allows multi-selection:

  • Do you wish to see the same person counted in multiple different groups? (this means the graph will show more then 100% of your company’s headcount)
  • Do you expect every person that has 2 or more nationalities be in a dedicated group called "two or more nationalities" and counted only once in this group?
  • Do you expect something else entirely?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Lihie Gillmore, that is an interesting question as for the complete overview of  the diversity in the company, it would be interesting to see all nationalities for people with more than one. On the other hand for me it would make perhaps more sense to count them only once, either categorized as employees with 2 or more nationalities or by being able to select a ‘primary’ nationality. Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Izabella

Thanks for your feedback @Izabella Rehak! This is very helpful 🙏

Hi @Lihie Gillmore

I would be happy to have a group of “2+ nationalities” as it simplifies data visualization.

A more comprehensive approach would include a basic display with a group for "2+ Nationalities" in the main nationality distribution chart, along with a feature that allows us to click on the "2+ Nationalities" category to see a breakdown of specific nationality combinations. I would like to see a comprehensive list of all unique nationalities, with some of them possibly only being part of the “2+ nationalities” group.

Thanks for checking with us,

Cristina

Got it! thanks @Cristina Sanz, appreciate it 🙏

Hi @Lihie Gillmore, would it be an option to have more than one field? We could have a ‘Primary Nationality’ field, a ‘Secondary Nationality’ field and a ‘Tertiary Nationality’ field (someone has 3). These could be lists (instead of ‘multi select’) and then we’d be able to create charts from the data. If we did this, for the Secondary and Tertiary fields, we could have an ‘N/A’ option.

Would be great to see an equivalent approach for languages.

Hi @Lihie Gillmore, i would rather have a group of 2+ nationalities within data visualization. Though some employees have received a new nationality in a naturalization process, others are bi-nationals (or more) from birth and asking them which they consider primary might be a tough question.

Hi,

@Lindsay Sinenberg Please can you add us to the feature request to have nationality as a dashboard field also

Thank you

Lynn

Done @Lynn McGarry! ☝
