When an employee changes managers, their new manager does not automatically get access to historical 1-on-1s with their previous manager.
1-on-1 meetings in Bob are private conversations between an employee and their specific manager. When a management change occurs, historical 1-on-1s remain private and are not automatically shared with the new manager.
If a new manager needs information from previous 1-on-1s, the recommended option is to use a 1-on-1 report:
- Go to Analytics > Reports.
- Click Add report.
- Select the 1-on-1s report template.

- Filter the report for the relevant manager and employee.
- Download the report and share the relevant information with the new manager.
This is the recommended approach because it provides access to the relevant historical information without requiring changes to employee profiles.
If the previous manager is no longer active in Bob, there is another option available to admins:
- Temporarily restore the previous manager's profile by removing the termination row from their record.
- Log in as the previous manager.
- Access and export the relevant historical 1-on-1 data.
Once the information has been retrieved, re-terminate the previous manager through the standard termination flow.
